Store your bread in a healthy beeswax coated cotton bag to keep your fresh bread fresh. No plastics or chemicals, just natural beeswax to store your food in and keep it fresh longer.
Beeswax bread bags work well for keeping bread fresh, generally extending its life to 5–7 days by balancing moisture and allowing the bread to breathe, which prevents the rapid molding often seen in plastic bags. They are especially effective for our homemade, preservative-free bread, keeping it soft inside while maintaining a decent crust.
Why They Work
Breathable Material: Unlike airtight plastic, beeswax-coated cotton allows slight airflow, which prevents the loaf from becoming soft, mushy, or developing mold quickly.
Antibacterial Properties: Natural wax acts as a protective, eco-friendly barrier, creating a healthier, non-toxic environment.
Reduced Waste: They are reusable and long-lasting alternatives to plastic wrap and paper bags.
- Wash: Wash in cold water with mild dish soap.
- Dry: Air dry only; heat will melt the wax.
- Refresh: If the wax cracks or becomes thin, place it back in the oven at 200°F for a few minutes to re-melt the wax. Or use a blowdryer to tefresh the each and make it look new.
- Avoid: Do not use with raw meat or hot items.
